Terms of Service
In plain words
- Our apps are made and run by Techedge Innovation LLC.
- Paid plans renew automatically (monthly or yearly, whichever you pick) until you cancel. Cancel any time in Me → Subscription, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Your data is yours. We use it to run the app, we never sell it, and you can export or delete it any time.
- SassPan isn't medical advice, and nutrition numbers can be estimates.
- If something goes wrong, contact us first and we'll try to fix it. Legal disputes go to individual arbitration, not class actions (section 14).
1. Agreement
These Terms are an agreement between you and Techedge Innovation LLC, a Utah limited liability company ("Techedge," "we," "us") for any Techedge app (each an "App"). By creating an account or using an App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy (including its Health data section), and, if you join a beta program, that program's Beta Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18. Give accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us right away if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for activity on your account.
3. Subscriptions, trials, renewal and cancellation
- Plans and prices are shown clearly before you pay. You pay the price shown when you subscribe, plus any tax, until it changes. We'll always tell you before a price change (see Price changes below), and you can cancel before it applies.
- Free trials: if your plan includes a free trial, its length is shown before you start. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your plan starts and you're charged.
- Automatic renewal: paid plans renew automatically at the end of each month or year (whichever you chose) at the price shown, charged to your payment method, until you cancel.
- Cancel any time in Me → Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
- Price changes: we'll email you at least 7 days (and no more than 30 days) before any change to what you pay, with instructions to cancel. Yearly subscribers also get a reminder before each renewal.
- Refunds: payments are non-refundable and we don't refund partial periods, except where the law requires it or we choose to in a particular case.
- Failed payments: we may retry a failed payment and pause paid features until it's resolved.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card or bank numbers.
4. Your content and data
- You own what you put into an App (your logs, notes, photos, recipes and so on, "Your Content").
- You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process and display Your Content only to run, improve and support the App, and, for anything you choose to publish to other users, to show it to them.
- You can export or delete Your Content in the App. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
- You promise you have the rights to anything you upload.
5. Community content
Some Apps may let you publish content (for example recipes or ratings) to other users, shown with your username. Don't post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, misleading, or that infringes someone else's rights, and don't promote dangerous health practices. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, applied the same way for everyone, and we never remove honest reviews or ratings just because they're negative. If you believe something in an App infringes your copyright, email legal@techedgeinnovation.com with what it is and where it appears, and we'll look into it promptly and remove it if it infringes. We close the accounts of repeat infringers. Before community publishing launches, we'll add a full copyright takedown process here.
6. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the Apps: no hacking or probing for vulnerabilities, scraping, overloading, reverse engineering, reselling, using them to break the law, or using someone else's account.
7. Our apps and intellectual property
The Apps, their design, code, brands and the content we create belong to Techedge. You get a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use them under these Terms. We can use feedback you send freely, without any obligation to you.
8. Not medical advice (SassPan)
SassPan is a tracking tool. It doesn't give medical, nutritional or dietary advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it isn't a substitute for a doctor, registered dietitian or other professional. Talk to a qualified professional before changing your diet, exercise or medication, especially if you're pregnant, have a medical condition (including any history of disordered eating), or take medication. Nutrition numbers come from labels, restaurants, public databases, other users and estimates. They may be wrong or out of date, and estimates are marked. Don't rely on them for medical, allergy or dosing decisions; always check the package. In an emergency, call 911.
9. AI features
Some features use AI (Claude, by Anthropic) to estimate or organize information, including through your own Claude account if you connect it. AI output can be wrong, so check anything important. We share only what a feature needs, as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Third-party services and links
The Apps may link to or work with other services (for example grocery stores, payment processors, or your own Claude account). Their terms apply to your use of them, and we're not responsible for them. If we ever earn a commission from a link, we'll label it.
11. Changes to the Apps and these Terms
We may change or discontinue features. We'll tell you about material changes to these Terms by email or in the App before they take effect. Continuing to use the App after that means you accept them; if you don't, cancel.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Apps are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise the Apps will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that data won't be lost. Keep your own copies of anything important.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows: (a) Techedge won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill; and (b) Techedge's total liability for all claims relating to an App is limited to the amount you paid us for that App in the 12 months before the claim arose (or $50 if you haven't paid anything). Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
Indemnity: you agree to cover Techedge's losses and reasonable legal costs from claims caused by your content, your misuse of an App, or your breaking these Terms.
14. Disputes: informal first, then individual arbitration
- Talk to us first. Before filing any claim, email legal@techedgeinnovation.com with your name, the issue and what you want. We both agree to try in good faith to resolve it within 60 days.
- Binding individual arbitration. If we can't resolve it, any dispute relating to an App or these Terms will be decided by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, instead of in court. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies.
- Class-action waiver. You and Techedge may bring claims only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative action, and an arbitrator may not combine claims of different people.
- Opt out. You can opt out of this section within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing legal@techedgeinnovation.com with your name and "Arbitration opt-out."
- If the class-action waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim goes to court, not arbitration. If any other part of this section is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to section 14, any court case goes to the state or federal courts in Iron County, Utah.
16. Ending your account
You can stop using an App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end accounts that break these Terms, with notice where reasonable. Sections that by their nature should survive (for example 4, 7 and 12 to 15) survive.
17. General
These Terms (with the policies they mention) are the whole agreement about the Apps. If a part is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a right isn't a waiver of it. You can't transfer these Terms; we can, for example if an App is sold.
